We sell delicious snacks developed, produced, and delivered by people with disabilities gaining work experience running a business.
Who we are
We are Nourishing People, a social enterprise ran by People Matters. Our members control every aspect of our business and develop their skills along the way. We are a Leeds based group that helps people with hidden disabilities find employment through work experience and running a business.
What we do
We offer people with hidden disabilities a unique pathway into employment through running a business with support only when needed.
Our Trainees run every aspect of our business. From production to sales, right through to deliveries. They are in charge and learn important skills every step of the way.
We sell to everyone! Individuals or businesses are all welcome to support us through purchasing our delicious, tasty snacks individually or by the box.
Through our trainees extra effort we now offer multiple methods of payment and delivery. We accept cash, card, invoice and PayPal. We can deliver locally in person or by post across the UK.
Your purchase pays for three things. It gets you a delicious snack, it supports our charity and it gives us a chance to run our business and gain more skills that we can take into paid employment in the future.
All of our profits are put back into our program.
By supporting us you are directly supporting our trainees into employment. Our trainees would like to introduce themselves.

Our snacks
We have four flavours of snacks currently available
Spice and Rice, Barbecue Bliss, Tropical Joy and Harvest Delight
Spice and Rice is a flavour with a little kick to it. Chilli coated peanuts, smoky almonds and chilli rice bites make up this mix that is a favourite of a lot of our customers. Try some yourself to see what all the fuss is about. Perfect with a beer.
Barbecue Bliss is a savoury sensation with a sesame twist. BBQ rice bites, caramelised honey peanuts and sesame crackers. Replace your lunchtime crisps with a barbecue kick.
Tropical Joy is a wonderful fruity flavour. Dried pineapple and mango, carob raisins and blanched almonds. A great replacement for a sweet midday snack.
Harvest Delight is a savoury crunchy snack that fills you up and keeps you going all day. Giant roasted corn, broad beans and pumpkin seeds make up this simple and tasty snack. A great snack for a hike or after exercise to get your energy back up.
